Happy Easter all xx

Where is your true home?
Home is where the heart is.
While Perth is where I reside, where I have grown up, where I live my day-to-day life, I consider it merely a place I am occupying temporarily while on my path to discovery of the place that I truly belong. Although I live here physically, what sanctuary does my heart, thoughts and whole being yearn for?
While I am yet to discover my answer to this, there are places I have been that have provided me with a kind of inner awakening; insights that form the stepping stones (or in some instances mountains) towards realising complete wholeness and inner-bliss.
One of these places is Margaret River (or Margs as us Perth people so affectionally call it). A three hour drive south of Perth, its lush vineyards, white sandy beaches and whimsical forest make it something of a dream. A bonus for me is that it also contains my beautiful older sister.
I’m venturing there this Friday, spending three days tasting my way through wineries and breweries, taking in all of natures blessings and enjoying sisterly catchups over a round of Camembert and Cab Sav. The probability of an Easter egg hunt is also quite high, as my nostalgic young heart simply can’t resist.
These few photos offer a glimpse into the stunning and diverse blessing that is Margaret River.
Have you discovered your true home? Where is it and how did it come to be?

Let’s get quizzical
I’m about to go to rooftop bar The Aviary to partake in a quiz night with friends. I’ve ensured my team members that hey, I now wear glasses and go to uni so we should be just fine. Cheap jugs of Pimm’s will be sure to get the brain juices flowing too.
I’m wearing a dress that I got online from Swedish brand Dry Lake. I love that it’s so delicately see-through and the chains draped on the back. It’s small details that make such big differences.
Dry Lake dress, Valleygirl blazer, Nude boots, Mimco bag, Pandora bracelet
Back to school
The other night I joined my foodie friends in some foodie fun, having a function at a great little Perth bar called The Classroom. It is impossible to not have a good time at this place – it’s decked out with heaps of school-days paraphernalia that encourages major play time, reminiscent conversations and cheeky school yard behaviour, and offers delicious, grown up canteen food to enjoy with some of the best cocktails in Perth.
We made the most of the opportunity by dressing up. Which for me meant YAY, an excuse to dress up as a sports teacher meaning I can wear some wedge sneakers AND use a whistle. I mean, how often do you get to use a whistle?
Blow my whistle bitch x
Gate crash.
Leather? Check. Army green? Check. Wedge sneakers? Check. Loose beanie? Check. Ahhh, all the makings for an outfit that is completely impractical in any weather yet quite stylish nonetheless. Oh and any outfit that allows its wearer to easily run amok in the streets and climb fences is a good one in my book.
How cute is my gun ring by the way? I got it from the gift shop at Dracula’s on the Gold Coast. BOOM. I mean, bang.
Sorry if the size of these seem slightly random. WordPress be going loco.
Staple top, Topshop leather shorts, Target (yes, Target) wedge sneakers, ring from Dracula’s, watch from my Nanna
